It's a pot - it cooks. The stainless steel metal is high quality, but thin; the clad bottom is about 1/8" thick, so it heats evenly. While not heavy duty professional equipment, it is well made and perfectly adequate; I'd say it's similar to a piece of Farberware in quality.

I didn't expect much because of the low price, but I was pleasantly surprised by this stainless steel pot. It isn't paper-thin, as I expected, but has some weight. I like the clear glass lid because I don't have to open the pot to check on what is cooking (a real plus when cooking foods like rice). Also, I like having two handles rather than one, mainly for ease of draining. Sure, you can buy a higher quality pot if you want to spend $50-$100, but for under $20 I don't think you can top this.

It is hard to buy cookware online, unless you have seen the piece personally or know the manufacturer.

The biggest issue is the weight of the pan: if it is inexpensive, then it is probably too thin, feels cheap, and won't last long.

I took a chance on this one, and am delighted. Good weight, sturdy construction and lid, even heating. And good price to boot.
