These work as intended, meaning when you're holding Down Dog in your sweaty Bikram class you can actually hold it rather than ending up in the less-graceful Embarrassed Starfish pose.

I bought two: Lakshmi - Poppy for my beau and Ganesha - Teal for myself.

This particular color (Lakshmi - Poppy) is gorgeous for exactly one wash, then it fades to a much more subdued ruby-burgundy.

When they say wash it before use, DO IT.

Trust me.

Nothing I have laundered in years has bled as much as these towels. It took five wash/dry attempts (done gently and per instructions) before I got minimal enough bleeding. I still probably wouldn't trust these towels with very light-colored clothing + a sweaty, hot class. Also, the surface isn't particularly soft. I guess I expected a little more of a cottony feel, but the towels definitely do the job. (I found Yoga Rat towels, without nubs, at a discount store, and those work just as well without the color bleed.)

If you do yoga on a regular basis, this is a must product. The yoga towel retains the sweat and avoids constant slipping. I strongly recommend it.

I have used one yogitoes towel/mat for well over 5 years and it has held up really well--no fraying, none of the beads are gone and the color and texture are intact even though I have washed it over a hundred times by now (and dryed it on "gentle"). I just bought another one recently to complement the original one because when I practice hot yoga, I sweat a ton and have to put the other one to wash. Great job yogitoes!
